Misty Dykema is owner/principal of Simantel, an industrial consumer marketing firm located in Peoria, IL. With nearly 20 years of experience in marketing communications, Misty is a trained and certified facilitator who loves helping organizations align around their best ideas.

With a BA in Public Relations and an EMBA in Leadership and Management from Bradly University, Misty has spent her career working in many B2B industrial segments ranging from heavy equipment to energy and logistics, to agriculture, just to name a few.

With a background in strategy, her agency life has been focused on building and developing Simantel’s core service offerings, with specific growth efforts in technology-driven areas of the business.

Outside of Simantel, Misty has served as an Executive Coach for the Theresa Falcon Executive MBA program at Bradley university and currently serves on the America’s board of directors for the Advertising and Marketing Independent Network (AMIN). She also hosts the agency’s award-winning podcast, Marketing Sweats.

As an advocate for leadership development, Misty’s side-hustle focuses on helping individuals understand the power of self-compassion through her consulting company, “The Misty Effect” where she delivers a six-part workshop series entitled, “The All of You”.

She’s also a founding member of “The Leader’s Life” forum in Peoria, IL and has been recognized in her region as a 40 Under 40 recipient. She is also a member of both Forbes and Fast Company executive boards, and serves on the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee for the American Red Cross of Central Illinois.
